Daehan Shipbuilding, a global mid-sized shipbuilder, announced on the 30th that it will make early payments of approximately KRW 20 billion in construction fees to strengthen win-win cooperation with its in-house and external partner companies ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
This payment will be made to 34 in-house partners and 18 external partners. Originally scheduled for October 10, the payment date has been advanced to October 2.
According to Daehan Shipbuilding, the early payment is intended to help partner companies secure the funds needed before the holiday, easing financial burdens and supporting the livelihood stability of their employees. The company also highlighted that most of these partner firms are located in Mokpo and other areas of South Jeolla Province, making the measure meaningful for local cash flow and economic revitalization.
A Daehan Shipbuilding official stated, “Since the company achieved business normalization, we have sought to fulfill our social responsibility as a leading local enterprise by advancing these payments. Moving forward, we will continue to grow together with our partners through various cooperative initiatives.”
In addition, Daehan Shipbuilding continues to promote shared growth with its partners through a range of initiatives. Each year, the company selects and rewards outstanding partners, provides season-specific supplies to ensure worker safety during extreme heat or cold, and offers homecoming travel allowances to employees during major holidays to enhance welfare.
