Daehan Shipbuilding Signs Technology Development MOU with DNV GL

Daehan Shipbuilding and DNV GL signed a memorandum of understanding on wednesday to develop a small LPG Ship.
 
Several people participated signing ceremony including Korean CEO Chung Dae-sung, Vice President of Business Lee Hwa-ryong instead of Korean CEO Vidal Dolonen, who were unable to attend due to a visit to their home countries.
 
This cooperation will start in early September and be completed at the end of this year, and Daehan Shipbuilding will proceed with the main design with the technical support and consideration of DNV GL, and will use the results to accelerate sales and orders.
 
Chung Dae-sung, CEO of Daehan Shipbuilding, said, "Daehan Shipbuilding has the best competitiveness in a short period based on the best quality and performance in the mid-sized tanker market. To cope flexibly with market conditions, we will secure capacity for new types of ships starting with LPG lines to diversify our portfolio including gas lines.
 
DNVGL regional representative Vidal Dronen promised through the participants, "DNVGL has been leading the technology in the gas line field for decades, and we will do everything we can to achieve the best result for Daehan Shipbuilding's new challenges based on our best partnership with our customers."
