Daehan Shipbuilding is a steel ship construction company that constructs new ships located in Hwawon-myeon, Haenam-gun, South Jeollanamdo. There are 610 workers and about 2,000 employees of in-house family companies.
Last year's export record was $390 million, and that year's export record was $530 million. The company’s major production items such as oil product carriers and crude oil carriers.
The company has been building Afamax Tanker for several years due to the recession in the industry, but recently it has expanded its fleet to Suezmax class, successfully accepting orders, and is continuously striving to increase its brand value.
Korean shipbuilding has an annual production capacity of about 12 Aframax Suezmax-class tankers and four small ships.
A total of 117 ships have been ordered since its foundation, and 99 of them have been safely delivered to the owner.
Up to now, 18 ships are scheduled to be built or delivered, and the construction volume has been secured by the second half of 2021.
Not only this, but they are also concentrating on new orders.
Korean shipbuilders are facing many difficulties in their management due to the global shipping recession caused by Corona 19, but Korean shipbuilders are increasing their corporate competitiveness through efforts to develop foreign markets and new orders based on customer satisfaction.
